Kano CJ directs resumption of magistrate courts

Kano State Chief Judge, Justice Nura Sagir Umar has directed Magistrates in the state to resume court sittings from Monday,6th June 2020.
A statement issued by the Spokesman of the Judiciary Baba Jibo Ibrahim on Sunday confirmed the directive.
The statement said the directive followed the suspension of the lockdown imposed on the state.
Solacebase reports that Kano State Governor Abdullahi Ganduje last Thursday removed the lockdown earlier imposed on the state to stop the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Governor Abdullahi Ganduje, however, said the 10 pm to 4 am curfew earlier imposed by the Federal Government still stands and must be obeyed.
