Banditry: Six Women Kidnapped in Katsina

As banditry keeps ravaging Katsina State, some bandits have
stormed Albasun Alhaji Bako village of Sabuwa Local Government
area and kidnapped 6 married women on the night of August 5th,
2020.
In an interview with the Nigerian Tracker, a resident said the
bandits stormed the village around 10:46pm at night and
kidnapped the women. As banditry keeps ravaging Katsina State, some bandits have

area and kidnapped 6 married women on the night of August 5th,
2020.

He said as he is talking to our correspondent, their whereabouts
are still unknown. The bandits also shot one man on the limb.

According to the residents, bandits that terrorize Sabuwa local
Government area mostly operate from 9 pm to 11 pm without any
intervention from the relevant security agencies.
In Damari Village of the same Sabuwa Local Government, it took
the deployment of soldiers who were stationed in the area for the
banditry to subside.
When contacted by the Nigerian Tracker the Police Public Relations
Officer Katsina State Command DSP Gambo Isah said he will
contact the Divisional Police officer of the area.
Recently there have been calls by Nigerians and other security
experts on President Muhammdu Buhari to sack the Service Chiefs
over the rising banditry, Kidnappings, and terrorism which bedevils
the country.
Katsina is the state of origin of Nigeria’s President Muhammadu
Buhari, apart from Katsina state bandits are also terrorizing
Zamfara and Sokoto States.
Governors of Katsina and Zamfara had dialogued with the bandits
but the problem is yet to be over.
