Dantata Foods, Cross River State to create jobs through Agri business

The government of Cross River is partnering wi th one of the
Africa’s leading Agro-processing firms Dantata Foods and Allied
Products Limited to promote Agribusiness and investment in the
State.
Under this partnership, Dantata foods will create twelve thousand
(12,000) direct and indirect jobs in Cross River state through
various agro-processing programmes within the next three years.
This was made known by the Chairman of the company Alh.
Tajuddeen Aminu Dantata while briefing Government house press
shortly after a strategic investment meeting with the Governor Prof

Represented by Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, the General Manager
Corporate Services company, Alhaji Tajuddeen Dantata said they
were impressed by the ease of doing business policies of Ayade
administration.
“We are here to support the state with a variety of agribusiness
activities at all levels of four crops in the Agricultural value chains,
Rice, maize, cotton and groundnut. We will engage smallholder
farmers and establish processing plants in state to create jobs for
the teaming youth (men and women).”
On his part, Governor Ben Ayade of Cross River state said
agriculture is the future of Africa, as such, his administration
places great value on development of the sector as it guarantees
mass employment to the citizenry with its attendant multiplier
effects across the value chain.
Prof. Ayade further reiterated his commitment in providing the
enabling environment for Agribusiness to thrive in the state.
